Alexandria

As we did last year (see Dec. 2004 archives, if you're interested!), we will focus our prayers on a specific topic each night. Last year it was family members, and this year it will be places!

Tonight's topic will be the Alexandria, Virginia, Corps.

We were glad to be able to spend some time with Captains Rob & Carolynn Webb and their three boys when we were in America in April (for my mother's funeral).

We were absolutely thrilled to see teens, who were little kids when I led Sunbeams in Alexandria, preparing to take part in Youth Councils. Tim was a chaperone on their first Youth Councils, and now some of them are in college!

Please join us in praying for the Alexandria Corps, located in the same city as USA NHQ.

"Apollos, a native of Alexandria, came to Ephesus. He was a learned man, with a thorough knowledge of the Scriptures. He had been instructed in the way of the Lord, and he spoke with great fervor and taught about Jesus accurately, though he knew only the baptism of John. He began to speak boldly in the synagogue. When Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they invited him to their home and explained to him the way of God more adequately." (Acts 18:24-26)

  1. Ev- I found it hard to write too when no one seemed to commet. Then a friend of mine showed me how to put a site meter on the bottom of my page. Now I can see who is looking at my page. I can get up to 50 people a day and not one comment. It helped me to keep writing...knowing someone was reading. I pray God will continue to bless you and your family there. I think you know Dan and Anya? Anya was a soldier of ours in St. Petersburg. When you see her...give her our greetings! The work you are doing is life changing...for them and for you! Love you!-Carole Jeanne
