Challenges

I had a long day in Tallinn today. I walked to the bus station and took the bus first thing this morning, then spent the day in a regional board meeting (basically a business meeting), then headed back to Tartu on the bus amidst heavy snow and finally walked back to the house and got in at around 9:00. I'm just happy I don't have to do that every day!

It was a tiring day, especially the meeting. Finland and Estonia are facing serious financial and personnel challenges, and that is having a dramatic effect on the work here. Much of what we were discussing was what the challenges are, how to address them and how to continue moving forward. By the end of the meeting I think all of the officers involved were feeling quite discouraged and overwhelmed by it all. As we closed the meeting in prayer, we put it all in God's hands, believing that His will can override any challenges if we look to Him in faith.

Please keep the Estonian officers in prayer: Majors Derek and Helen Tyrrell, Captains Dan and Anya Henderson, Captain Ave Kalme and of course me and Evelyn.
