March 1, Ash Wednesday, marks the beginning of the 40-day season of Lent -- from Ash Wednesday until Easter Sunday -- a time observed by millions of Christians around the world.
This is an opportunity to focus on Christ as the sacrifice for the salvation of the world he dearly loves. It is also a season of repentance, where we can turn away from all that is unholy, and return to God, calling to Him for forgiveness and mercy.
I invite you to enter into this season with an intentional plan to fast (do without something you enjoy) and pray and seek the Lord.
2 Chron. 7:14 "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land."
